All participants, both on onsite and online, will be moving their “avatar” around in the conference space using the keyboard’s arrow keys.
Poster file orientation would be preferable landscape (for screen format reason) but you can also send it in portrait format.
Online poster presenters will be asked to send three files:
GATHER.TOWN
As mentioned, the online poster session will take place in the virtual environment called Gather.town. We have designed a space specifically for this purpose. The step-up takes some moments so we recommend you do this ahead of time. The space will be open 2 days before the conference. Especially for poster presenters, we recommend you join the space and navigate to your poster before the poster session begins as it might take some time for you to get there. Make sure you have a working camera, microphone and audio. There are three poster rooms, divided by sub-themes:
Please note that there are other areas in the space to enable conversations and interactions with online attendees.
Happy poster sessioning!’
